Ashanti Shequoiya, also known as Ashanti was born on 13 October 1980 in Glen Cove New York United States. She is a singer songwriter and actress from her native United States. Ashanti is a teen singer-songwriter and actress from the US is signed with Murder Inc. Records to release a single in 2002. That same year she appeared with fat Joe's What's Luv? Ashanti originally appeared in the song of Big Pun's How We Roll as a backing vocalist. Ashanti sang as well in Fat Joe's hit song"What's Luv?" Also, she appeared on Fat Joe's What's Luv? Her debut single Foolish includes a track sample from DeBarge's 1983 song Stay With Me. The self-titled debut album of Ashanti was launched in 2002 by Irv Gotti's Murder Inc. record label. The Declaration the fourth studio album, came out on in June of 2008. Hey Baby After the Club came out on the 16th of October to radio and digital stores. She portrayed Latasha on Army Wives and starred in the film Christmas in the City. Aitch sampled Rock wit U in his Baby 10th March 2022.
